​Tiny Chefs Kitchen Enrichment & STEM Academy is a small-group microschool in Spring Hill, Florida created to provide homeschool families with a hands-on, engaging alternative to traditional learning environments. Our K–8 homeschool enrichment program combines academic support with real-world learning experiences that help students develop confidence, independence, and practical skills. We believe children learn best when they are actively involved — not just completing worksheets, but cooking, experimenting, building, designing, gardening, problem-solving, and applying what they learn to everyday life. Through a unique blend of STEM education, cooking classes, gardening, history, financial literacy, and core academic support, students are encouraged to explore their interests while developing important skills for the future. Our microschool model provides a structured yet relaxed learning environment where students receive personal attention, build meaningful relationships, and have the opportunity to learn at their own pace. At Tiny Chefs Kitchen, curiosity is encouraged, confidence is built, and learning comes to life through hands-on experiences.

What Makes Us Different

 

At Tiny Chefs Kitchen Enrichment & STEM Academy, we offer a unique hands-on microschool and homeschool enrichment program in Spring Hill, Florida where students learn through real-world experiences, creativity, and exploration. Unlike traditional classroom settings that often rely heavily on textbooks and worksheets, our small-group K–8 program combines academic support with practical skills that help children become confident, independent learners. Our students learn through: • Cooking Classes & Culinary Arts — Students practice math, reading, science, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through hands-on cooking experiences. • STEM Education & Science Exploration — Students participate in experiments, engineering challenges, building projects, and interactive science activities that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. • History & Cultural Studies — Students explore history, geography, and cultures through engaging projects, activities, and hands-on learning. • Gardening & Sustainability — Students learn about planting, growing food, responsibility, and environmental awareness through gardening experiences. • Financial Literacy & Life Skills — Students develop practical skills in budgeting, saving, money management, decision-making, and everyday independence. At Tiny Chefs Kitchen Enrichment & STEM Academy, our mission is to inspire confident, capable learners through hands-on, small-group education that combines academics with real-world experiences. We believe children learn best when they are actively engaged, encouraged to explore, and given opportunities to create, problem-solve, and discover their strengths. Through cooking, STEM, gardening, financial literacy, and core academic support, we help students build knowledge, independence, confidence, and life skills that will serve them beyond the classroom.

 

 

 

Meet the Founder

​

Tiny Chefs Kitchen Enrichment & STEM Academy was founded by Amanda Talbot, an educator and lifelong advocate for hands-on learning. Amanda created this Spring Hill, Florida microschool to provide homeschool families with a structured, supportive, and engaging alternative to traditional classroom environments. With a background in culinary arts, early childhood education, teaching, and working with children of various learning needs, Amanda combines academics with real-world experiences to create a unique learning environment where students can build confidence, independence, and practical skills. Her vision is to help children discover their strengths, develop a love for learning, and gain the knowledge and life skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. At Tiny Chefs Kitchen Enrichment & STEM Academy, Amanda believes children learn best when they are encouraged to explore, create, ask questions, and learn by doing.

Where are you located?

We are located in Spring Hill, Florida, right off County Line Road near Circle K.

What ages do you serve?

We welcome students ages 5 & up

What programs do you offer?

We offer hands-on enrichment in:

• Cooking
• STEM & Science
• Gardening & Composting
• History
• Money Management
• English & Math support

We also offer seasonal camps and co‑op field trips.

What happens during cooking class?

Students learn knife safety, recipe reading, kitchen cleanliness, and how to prepare full dishes and desserts.
At the end of class, they enjoy what they’ve created! We do not cook every class!

What is your gardening program?

Students compost food scraps from cooking class, use compost in our garden, grow food, harvest it, and cook with it — learning the full food cycle from seed to plate.

What do students learn in STEM and science?

Students build earth models, complete space projects, and conduct hands‑on experiments through interactive learning experiences.

What is taught in money management?

Students learn budgeting basics, saving vs. spending, financial responsibility, and practical real‑world money skills.

Do you work with homeschool families?

Yes! We are a homeschool support microschool and welcome homeschool families and co‑op groups.

Do you offer field trips?

Yes! We offer  cooking-based field trips for homeschool groups and co‑ops.

Can parents stay?

Yes. Families are welcome to relax on our outdoor patio, work from their vehicle, or drop off and return at pickup time.

Do you have experience working with special needs children?

Yes. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment and have experience working with children with disabilities and special needs.

Are you year-round?

Yes. We operate on a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule throughout the year.

What are your tuition costs?

• $200 one-time registration fee
• $350 annual tech & supply fee
• $400 per month (1 day per week)
• $550 per month (2 days per week)

What does the annual supply fee cover?

The annual fee includes tablets, online access, classroom materials, art supplies, gardening tools, and cooking resources.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Step Up Direct Pay, Cash App, PayPal, and Venmo.

What if my child is sick?

Please keep your child home if they are sick. Classes run consistently throughout the school year except during scheduled breaks.

What makes your program different?

We are hands‑on, life‑skill focused, and relationship‑based.
Students don’t just sit and listen — they cook, build, grow, and apply real-world skills in a safe and supportive environment.
